Global Magazine goes digital. New portal promises to be market benchmark
Global, the Brazil-based worldwide transport magazine, is moving with the times, leaving print to become a daily online medium with exclusive updated information on international trade, transport, logistics and economics. Brand owner UBM Brazil has made this strategic change to meet entrepreneurs’ demand for constantly-updated information as a basis for decisions.
In this context www.globalonline.net.br goes online in March 2010 – with reporting and interviews, in the style of the printed publication that has won a key role in the market over the last 10 years, but now tuned to the universe of online users. It will still feature its standard sections – By the Way, Highlight, Market, On the Map, Logistics and Sustainability, but users will also access exclusive reporting produced daily, information from the major media, market statistics, surveys and research, articles, and tips for reading and events – as well as being able to take part in opinion surveys and forums on current issues.
The portal will be tri-lingual: in Portuguese, Spanish and English – with English content from the Journal of Commerce (JoC), a world benchmark medium in the sector which, like UBM Brazil, is part of the worldwide United Business Media group.
Intermodal’s media channel
Along with JoC, Global Online inherits from Global Magazine the role of official media channel for Intermodal South America. More than 50 Brazilian and international magazines and web portals specialized in the sector also support the event.
